Boost Your Work Productivity

Are you feeling totally unproductive and are frustrated with your lack of enthusiasm for the projects at hand? You are not alone as a lot of people have felt the same way at some point in life. Productivity is a much desired trait in every employee and most of the employers yearn for a productive and hardworking employee. Once they find such an employee, they do everything in their power to retain them for as long as possible. However, even these highly productive employees can lose their motivation over time and thus become nonproductive.
Factors that affect work productivity
There are a lot of factors that affect the productivity of an employee and lead to lack of motivation. Once these problems are addressed properly, the productivity level of the employees can be enhanced a lot.
Culture of the organization
The culture and the environment of the organization that you work at contribute a lot towards increasing or decreasing your productivity. If the environment is positive and the employees are happy with their jobs, they are bound to be more productive. Similarly a negative work environment will curb the productivity of the employee. So in order to make sure that the employees are being productive, the managers should work on improving the office environment. Taking steps that make the employees feel valued and respected will definitely help in improving the work environment.
Low pay structure
Underpaid staff members are the often unhappy and are much likely to suffer from lack of productivity as compared to the other employees who are being paid in accordance to their experience. The managers and the company heads need to realize that an underpaid employee will fail to be enthusiastic about his or her job. Such employees often spend more time looking for another job rather than concentrating on their jobs. In order to increase job satisfaction among the employees, the managers have to make sure that the employees are well paid and satisfied with it.
Difficult boss
Believe it or not, a difficult boss most of the times leads the employee to frustration and pushes him so much that the employee feels that there is no other way out other than resigning. Even if the employee does not resign, he is so stressed out due to dealing with a difficult employee that he fails to perform well. The bosses and the managers must realize that working being difficult with an employee will not improve his quality of work rather it will end up decreasing the overall productivity level of the organization. The employees should be able to talk to their bosses if any problems arise and they need to know that their feedback and suggestion on any given topic will be appreciated.
Monotonous work
A dull routine and monotonous work can lead to dissatisfaction among the employees and retard their work productivity. Knowing that you have to repeat the same kind of duties everyday kills the motivation level of the employees. The managers and the company owners should realize that and keep challenging the employees on regular basis. Giving them challenging assignments will help in keeping the morale high as they will be excited about doing something new and different. This not only gives them a chance to prove their capability but also allows them to learn something new every day.
No rewards
When an employee works hard and puts a lot of effort in a project, he surely expects some reward, even if it means appreciation from the boss’s mouth. Ignoring the effort being put in by an employee is a big mistake as it makes them think that whatever effort they put in, they will never be rewarded.
Difficult coworker
Dealing with a difficult coworker on daily basis can be tiresome and lead to dissatisfaction which ultimately diminished your work productivity. It is best to deal with such a difficult colleague permanently so that you do not have to suffer on daily basis. Try talking to the difficult coworker and see if you can find the root of the problem and make things right between the two of you. If you cannot resolve the issues amicably, try to avoid him as much as possible and avoid getting into arguments with him.
Improve your work productivity:
No matter what might be the reason for you being nonproductive, there are quite a few things you can do to boost your productivity level.
Set goals
It is best to set goals so that you have a daily challenge to accomplish. This will motivate you to put more effort in work and it ends up boosting your productivity level. Even if the boss does not set a target for you, setting goals for yourself and challenging yourself to achieve the desired results can be quite motivating.
Delegate your work
It is also possible that you become less productive due to a lot of work pressure. If you are unable to handle the work on your own you might feel inadequate and lose your motivation. One way to do that is by delegating your work to team members and the juniors. You have to keep in mind that you cannot do everything yourself and you have to share the burden with others. This will make sure that you are neither overstressed nor unproductive.
Communicate
Communication is the most important aspect of any job. If you feel like you are not bring rewarded for your hard work and you are being undervalued, talk to your manager or your boss about it. Make sure you are not complaining but let them know what your concerns are. If your manager or the boss values his employees he is bound to listen to your concerns and take action to rectify those that are legitimate.
Get organized
If you are unorganized you are bound to waste a lot of time looking for notes, documents and other such things. This in return will lower your work productivity and make you lose focus. Make sure that you keep your desk in order and have all the things lined up as you might need them during a busy work hour and might waste a lot of time looking for them.

Burnt Biscuit

When I was a kid, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his biscuit, smile at my mom and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that biscuit and eat every bite!

When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And I'll never forget what he said: "Honey, I love burned biscuits."
Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, "Your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired. And besides – a little burnt biscuit never hurt anyone!"
Life is full of imperfect things…..and imperfect people. I'm not the best at hardly anything, and I forget birthdays and anniversaries just like everyone else. But what I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each others faults – and choosing to celebrate each others differences – is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.
And that's my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet of God.
We could extend this to any relationship. In fact, understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or siblings or friendship!
"Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket – keep it in your own."
God Bless You….. Now,and Always….
So Please pass me a biscuit, and yes, the burnt one will do just fine.!.!.!.!
And PLEASE pass this along to someone who has enriched your life… I just did!

MOTIVATION

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, “Who would like this $20 bill?”

Hands started going up.
He said, “I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this.” He proceeded to crumple the dollar bill up.
He then asked, “Who still wants it?”
Still the hands were up in the air.

“Well,” he replied, “What if I do this?” And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.
He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty. “Now who still wants it?” Still the hands went into the air.
“My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.
We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
You are special – Don’t ever forget it!

Thanks,

Overqualified Employee: A Liability Or An Asset?

Overqualified Employee: A Liability Or An Asset?
You nailed the interview and fulfilled all the job requirements but the employers still turned you down? Why were you turned down? The frustrating reason given by the employer is that the company will look for another candidate since you are ‘overqualified’. This bombshell has been dropped on a lot of candidates over the years and has caused frustration among those who failed to get a job despite being well-educated and experienced. The situation is not that easy for the employers either, who are interviewing a perfect candidate with a lot of experience but cannot hire him because he is overqualified and might not stick with them for long.
What Does Being ‘Overqualified’ Mean?
Overqualified is a term that is applied to any candidate who has more experience and level of education than what is required for the job. It appears to be a good thing to the layman but the managers and employers show the tendency to ignore such candidates in favor of those who fall within the parameters of the given requirements. Actually being overqualified is not a negative thing and can be beneficial for the company but there are a few issues that can arise if a firm hires a person who is overqualified for the job. What the company managers have to decide is whether they can deal with the problems that arise after hiring an overqualified person or do they feel better hiring a person who fulfils just the desired criterion. In most of the cases, the employers choose the second option.
Pros And Cons Of Hiring Overqualified Employees:
Like all other situations, hiring overqualified in an organization has both positive and negative aspects. In order to evaluate a situation properly and reach the right decision, we have to take a look at all the aspects.
Benefits Of Hiring An Over Qualified Employee:
There is no doubt that hiring an overqualified employee is not without its benefits. Some of these benefits are:
Level Of Experience
When an employee with a lot of work experience joins your firm, he brings a lot of experience which is good for the company. Previous experience is the most valuable thing in a prospective employee and the more experienced he is, the more able he is to deal with difficult situations.
Healthy Competition
When a highly experienced and well qualified employee joins the company, it will give rise to healthy competition. The rest of the employees will try to match the high standards being set by the more experienced employee and work harder. Thus a healthy competition will be started, which will improve the outputs of all the employees in the long run.
A Source Of Inspiration
The more experienced and well educated employee will become a source of inspiration for other employees, who will want to learn from his experience and will perform better in the long term.
Downside Of Hiring An Overqualified Employee:
When employers meet a candidate who is overqualified for a job they have some basic concerns that stop them from hiring him for the position. The basic concerns are:
Switching Jobs At Better Offer
Since a candidate is overqualified the managers will be concerned that he might leave the job as soon as a better job offer comes by. Since a candidate is applying for a job that is below his level of expertise and education, the obvious conclusion drawn by the employer is that the job seeker is desperate for the job and will apply anywhere at any post.
Demand Higher Pay
Since the candidate is overqualified and has a lot of experience, the employer feel that he might be asking for a much higher salary than what is feasible for them for a certain job. This makes the situation less favorable for the candidate as the employers feel that they should keep looking for a more appropriate candidate.
Lack Of Motivation
The employers feel insecure while hiring someone who is overqualified because they feel that the work will not be challenging enough for him and he will get bored quickly, loosing focus and motivation. When an employee loses focus he instantly starts looking for another job and thus becomes a flight risk.
How To Deal With An Overqualified Employee?
While there might be a lot of problems with hiring an overqualified employee, if you handle him properly he can prove to be an asset for the company in the long run. It is not as hard to deal with an overqualified employee as most of the managers think. Here are a few things you can try to make sure that the overqualified employee you have hired does not turn into a liability:
Maintain A Healthy Environment
A healthy and productive work environment is essential not only for improving the efficiency of the employees but also for the overall growth of the company. An overqualified employee might get more restless and bored if he is working in a nonproductive environment where he feels that he cannot work at his maximum potential. Make sure that the work environment in your company is conducive where the employees feel motivated to work at their maximum potential.
Make Them Feel Valued And Respected
The worst thing that you can do to an overqualified employee is make him feel undervalued and humiliate him. It is never wise to make your employee feel undervalued but since the overqualified employee will be more sensitive to such things so you have to make sure to be appreciative and understanding. If your attitude towards the employee is condescending, he will start looking for another job where he will feel respected.
Keep Challenging The Employee
In order to retain an overqualified employee, you have to keep him motivated. To keep an employee motivated you have to keep challenging him by giving more interesting projects. Mundane routine makes them question their own productivity and gives rise to dissatisfaction.
Utilize His Expertise
If you have an overqualified employee on the team be sure to utilize his experience rather than feeling threatened by it. His expertise is a valuable asset for you and you can utilize it for the progress of your company.
What To Do If You Are Being Labeled As Overqualified?
Enough has been said about overqualified employees and what the management can do to deal effectively with them. As for the jobseekers that have been labeled as overqualified, there are a few things that can help in turning the label into a positive thing. Here are a few tips that will help you in landing a good job despite being overqualified.
  • Show you are willing to work at the position that you have applied for. You should have a valid reason for applying to a job that is below your level of experience and expertise otherwise the employers will assume that you are just desperate for a job.
  • Be enthusiastic about the job that you are being offered. Show how you can bring stability and growth to the company. However, make sure that you do not appear pompous or a show off.
  • Emphasize your loyalty to previous employer. Give references if you left the employer on good term. You have to establish that despite being overqualified you are not a flight risk.
  • Show a positive attitude at work. Do not be lethargic or monotonous in your routine. It will make the employers feel like you are losing interest in the job and might leave soon.
  • Articulate your capabilities well and emphasize on the level of sophistication you will bring to the job. Show them that you are willing to work hard at a job that might be below your level of expertise because you believe you can improve the quality of work.
  • Do not push hard for a higher salary as it will make the employers think that you are not a goal oriented person. By all means ask for the salary that you deserve and is appropriate for the position that you are working for but do not go completely overboard.

Managing Conflicts At Work

No matter where you work or how well you get along with your coworkers, sooner or later conflicts are bound to occur. In professional life, conflicts and disagreements arise all the time. Most of the conflicts are minor which can be easily resolved and are quickly forgotten. However, sometimes disagreements can get ugly and create a lot of trouble and chaos. If you are unable to handle the situation properly, workplace conflicts can seriously affect your productivity and career growth in the long run.
Why do conflicts arise?
Conflicts arise in the corporate climate every other day and while there might be many reasons behind them, the basic reasons for conflicts can be broken down into the following categories:
Clash of ideas
Most of the people believe that they have the best ideas and they want others to follow their lead rather than listening to what their peers have to say. These people do not appreciate hearing ideas put forward by the coworkers and often find faults with them. When such people are challenged by their colleagues or feel threatened by the ideas put forward by the coworkers, they create problems and hence give rise to conflicts.
Different personality types
Everyone that is working in an organization has a different personality type and most of the time people are able to work in collaboration. However, some people have difficult personalities and they do not only make it hard for people to work with them but also disrupt the office environment. Such people are often used to getting things done their way and do not like changes. While is tough to deal with such people, it is not entirely impossible. Managing such people is a challenge and if handled properly, they can be an asset to the company.
Competition
Majority of the times, competition is the most common reason behind conflicts in the workplace. Everybody knows that competition can get ugly as your coworkers often stop at nothing to prove to the boss that they are better at the job than you. In such scenarios, conflicts are bound to occur as coworkers start accusing each other of stealing their ideas and taking credit for their hard work. Sometimes such conflicts are resolved in no time but mostly these conflicts grow to such an extent that the employees stop talking to each other. This kind of behavior retards the growth of the company and mars the reputation of the workers.
Effects of conflicts on work environment
For an organization to prosper, the environment of the workplace has to be positive. It will only then allow the employees to function at their maximum potential and exploit their talents to the fullest. However, regular conflicts among the employees have a negative effect on the environment in many ways, such as:
  • Lowering productivity
  • Causing lack of motivation
  • Increasing frustration at work
  • Inducing lack of commitment
  • Disrupting team work
Managing conflicts in the workplace
While it is best to avoid conflict and stay out of the way of trouble, sadly it is not always possible and is quite unpractical. Sooner or later you are bound to find yourself caught in the middle of a conflict or an argument and the way you handle it can have a profound effect on your career. Dealing with such conflicts can be tricky but we have come up with some sure fire ways to steer clear of any major trouble and avoid getting into huge conflicts. Try these tricks and see how well they work for you.
Communicate well
Communication, either the lack of it or too much of it, is one of the most common reasons behind the rise of conflicts in any office. Make sure that you keep the channels of communication open and flowing all the time. Be it your manager or your coworker, communicate well. Let them know how you feel about a certain problem or issue and hear them out as well. However, do not indulge in unnecessary chatter and refrain from bad mouthing anyone at your office. Whatever you say will be spread around and sooner or later you will be pegged as someone who is taking sides, which will put you in a bad spot. So keep on communicating but do it well.
Avoid negative statements
At all costs refrain from uttering negative remarks even if you are in the middle of a conflict and are being targeted directly. If you want to make a point, do it with facts rather than shooting blank statements that will do no good other than probably venting your anger for a short while.
Stay calm
Whenever a conflict arises try to stay calm and explain your point of view. Getting angry and shouting will serve as a catalyst, blowing the conflict out of proportions. If you stay calm, the other person will be forced to calm down as well and then the two of you can sort the problem out.
Be a good listener
It is important to be a good listener as well as a good communicator when you are in a corporate environment. Sometimes not listening to your coworkers, superiors, or even juniors can create conflicts.  So keep your ears open and make sure that the coworkers know that you are listening to what they are saying.
Be reasonable

Whenever a conflict arises that has something to do with you, assess the situation honestly and impartially. If it has arisen due to your fault, accept it and try to rectify the harm that has been done. If it is someone else’s fault, point it out very calmly and use no harsh words.  There is a high chance that if you reasonably point it out, the other person will accept his fault and reassess his behavior.
Concluding thoughts
The fact of the matter is that wherever you go, conflicts will arise and you have to face up to them. Some people bury their heads in the sand and try to avoid such situations totally. This approach might be helpful in the short run but will fail you sooner or later. You have to keep in mind that with every conflict that you resolve, you learn something new and gain valuable experience that will help you in your future. Not all conflicts are bad for the office environment as they sometimes give rise to healthy competition and enhance the capabilities of employees to deal with stressful situations. It is then up to us whether we learn from them or let them ruin or careers.

Nine great benefits of reciting the Quran

Nine great benefits of reciting the Quran
Indeed to reflect on Allah's verses is a form of worship that will draw one close to Allah Most High. This reflection is not a reckless and wandering one, rather it includes a study of the classical tafseer of the verses being pondered over, as this would fulfil Ibnul-Qayyim's great advice, "Such as reflecting over a book which a person has memorised and he expounds it so that he may understand what its author intends by it."
Indeed the Book of Allah is not a book like any other, it is the timeless Speech of Allah, not a created thing, the study guide for life and death and what comes after. Therefore it deserves a more careful study than anyone else's speech. It necessitates that its reader return to the early narrations of those who witnessed its revelation and heard its explanation by the one deputed by Allah to rehearse and explain His Words to humanity (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam). For if one would try to ponder over the meanings of the verses without having done this study, then surely the filth of the time that he lives in and his ignorance of the correct application and understanding that the early Muslims had would cause him to understand some things not intended by Allah Most High, and therefore he would go astray, thinking to be worshipping Allah. So every sincere Muslim who hopes to earn Allah's Love breciting and reflecting over Allah's Book, then let him hold tight to the meanings explained by the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam), and those taught by the companions and their immediate followers, and the early scholars of Islam.
So dear brother and sister Muslim! Know that reciting and pondering over the Book of Allah, devoting your time regularly to its study and implementation has tremendous benefits in this life and the Next, so let us now look to just a few of them to attach ourselves more firmly to Allah's Majestic Words. Each benefit stands as enough of an encouragement to shun any laziness we have and dedicate ourselves to the Qur'an.
1 - Reading and reflecting over the Qur'an fulfils an Islamic duty.
Indeed the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) summarised this Religion with his statement: "The Religion is naseehah (sincerity)!" So then Tameem ibn Aws, may Allah be pleased with him, then said, "We asked, 'To whom?'" He said: "To Allah, HIS BOOK, His Messenger, the leaders of the people, and their common folk." [Muslim] The sincerity that is due to the Book of Allah includes its regular recitation, learning the rules of tajweed and reciting it beautifully, learning about its tafseer and the reasons for its revelation, affirming that it is the Truth, the perfect Speech of Allah and not part of the creation, honoring it and defending it, abiding by the orders and prohibitions found in it, teaching it and calling to it. [See Jaami'ul-'Uloom wal-Hikam of Ibn Rajab Al-Hambalee] So by reading and reflecting over the Qur'an, one fulfills an obligation and is rewarded for that. Upon fulfilling this obligation, the Qur'an then becomes a proof for him on the Day of Judgment! And that is our second benefit we will take by embracing this Noble Book...
2 - The Qur'an will be a proof for us on the Day of Judgment.
This is due to the statement of the Messenger: "And the Qur'an is a proof for you or against you." [Muslim] So one of two things will occur with this proof, the Book of Allah. It will either be in your favor, a proof for you on the Day when you will need every single good deed, or it will be something standing against you, the very Speech of your Creator, a proof against you! Who could be saved from the terrors of that Day if Allah's own Speech is against him?!?! Think carefully, dear Muslim brother or sister, about your position with the Qur'an! Are you neglecting it, contradicting it, being heedless of its orders and prohibitions, are you thinking deeply over it?! Will it be on your side on the Day of Judgment.?! O Allah! We ask you, by Your Glorious Speech and the rest of your beautiful Names and Attributes, to make the Qur'an a proof for us! O Allah! Don't make the Qur'an a proof against us on that Day, and save us from the hellfire! For if Allah makes the Qur'an a proof in our favour on that Day, then it would also be an intercessor for us, when NO intercession will take place except by His Permission.
3 - The Qur'an will intercede for us on the Day of Judgment.
The proof: Aboo Umaamah relates that the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said: "Read the Qur'an, for verily it will come on the Day of Standing as an intercessor for its companions." [Muslim]
4 - Your status in this life will be raised.
In Saheeh Muslim, we find a lovely story, about how a man from the people of Jannah, 'Umar ibn Al-Khattaab, understood this principle. Some men came to question him during his khilaafah about the leadership of Makkah, they asked, "Who do you use to govern Makkah?" He said, "Ibn Abzaa." They asked, "And who is Ibn Abzaa?" Umar replied, "A freed slave from those we freed." They remarked, "You left a freed slave in charge of the people of the Valley (the noble tribes of the Quraysh)!?!?" So he answered them, "Verily he is a reader of the Book of Allah and is knowledgeable about the obligations of the Muslims. Haven't you heard the statement of your Messenger: "Verily Allah raises some people by this Book and lowers others by it."
5 - You will be from the best of the people.
'Uthmaan, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said: "The best of you are the ones who learn the Qur'an and teach it to others" [Al-Bukhari]
6 - There are ten rewards for each letter you recite from the Qur'an.
As an authentic hadith in At-Tirmithee proves: "Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that "Alif, Laam, Meem" is a letter, rather I am saying that "Alif" is a letter, "laam" is a letter and "meem" is a letter." So increase your recitation of the Qur'an to gain these merits, and to gain the following merit as well.
7 - The reciters of the Qur'an will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels.
'Aa'ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, relates that the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said: "Verily the one who recites the Qur'an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have TWICE that reward." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
So dear brother or sister Muslim, do not let the Shaytaan give you false excuses, such as "I am not an 'Arab," or "Its not my language." This hadith is a firm proof against these whisperings. Dedicate yourself to the Book of Allah, whether you are an 'Arab or not! The excuses have been eliminated and the pathway has been cleared for you to embrace the Book of Allah without holding back or offering excuses! And surely you will not hesitate to seek a teacher or a study circle for the Qur'an once you hear the last and perhaps greatest benefits of reading and contemplating over the Qur'an...
8 - Your position in Paradise is determined by the amount of Qur'an you memorize in this life!
'Abdullaah ibn 'Amr ibn Al-'Aas heard the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) saying: "It will be said to the companion of the Qur'an: Read and elevate (through the levels of the Paradise) and beautify your voice as you used to do when you were in the dunyaa! For verily, your position in the Paradise will be at the last verse you recite!" [Aboo Daawood and At-Tirmithee, saheeh]
9 - The Qur'an will lead you to Paradise!
The Prophet said: "The Qur'an is an intercessor, something given permission to intercede, and it is rightfully believed in. Whoever puts it in front of him, it will lead him to Paradise; whoever puts it behind him, it will steer him to the Hellfire." [An authentic hadith found in At-Tabaraanee, on the authority of 'Abdullaah ibn Mas'ood]
Know, dear brother or sister, that these nine benefits from the many benefits available can only be attained by a sincere commitment to the Book of Allah, not by a person's mere statement, "I love the Qur'an, it's beautiful." Rather the heart must be sincerely attached to Allah's Book and the limbs and tongue will follow in this attachment. You must know that we only mentioned a few of the numerous benefits of reading and reflecting over the Qur'an. There are many benefits that await your reading in the Qur'an and books of hadith, like the chapter of the Qur'an that will argue on your behalf in the grave, and that it is a physical healing, a source of rest and relaxation for your heart, among many other things. And Allah knows best. (Taken from Look 4 Islam)

How to kill your mother in law

A long time ago in China , a girl named Li-Li got married & went to live with her husband and mother-in-law. In a very short time, Li-Li found that she couldn’t get along with her mother-in-law at all.
Their personalities were very different, and Li-Li was angered by many of her mother-in-law’ s habits. In addition, she criticized Li-Li constantly.
Days passed, and weeks passed. Li-Li and her mother-in-law never stopped arguing and fighting.
But what made the situation even worse was that, according to ancient Chinese tradition, Li-Li had to bow to her mother-in-law and obey her every wish. All the anger and unhappiness in the house was causing Li-Li’s poor husband! D great distress.
Finally, Li-Li could not stand her mother-in-! law’s bad temper and dictatorship any longer, and she decided to do something about it! Li-Li went to see her father’s good friend, Mr. Huang, who sold herbs.
She told him the situation and asked if he would give her some poison so that she could solve the problem once and for all.
Mr. Huang thought for awhile, and finally said, “Li-Li, I will help you solve your problem, but you must listen to me and obey what I tell you.”
Li-Li said, “Yes, Mr. Huang, I will do whatever you tell me to do.”Mr. Huang went into the back room, and returned in a few minutes with a package of herbs. He told Li-Li, “You can’t use a quick-acting poison to get rid of your mother-in-law, because that would cause people to become suspicious Therefore, I have given you a number of herbs that will slowly build up poison in her body. Every other day prepare some delicious meal and put a little of these herbs in her serving
Now, in order to make sure that nobody suspect you, when she dies, you must be very careful to act very friendly towards her. “Don’t argue with her, obey her every wish, and treat her like a queen.” Li-Li was so happy.
She thanked Mr. Huang and hurried home to start her plot of murdering her mother-in-law.
Weeks went by, and months went by, and every other day, Li-Li served the specially treated food to her mother-in-law. She remembered what Mr. Huang had said about avoiding suspicion, so she controlled her temper!r, obeyed her mother-in-law, and treated her like her own mother.
After six months had passed, the whole household had changed. Li-Li had practiced controlling her temper so much that she found that she almost never got mad or upset. She hadn’t had an argument with her mother-in-law in six months because she now seemed much kinder and easier to get along with.
The mother-in-law’ s attitude toward Li-Li changed, and she began to love Li-Li like her own daughter. She kept telling friends and relatives that Li-Li was the best daughter-in- law one could ever find. Li-Li and her mother-in-law were now treating each other like a real mother and daughter.
Li-Li’s husband was very happy to see what was happening. One day, Li-Li came to see Mr. Huang and asked for his help again She said, “Dear Mr. Huang, please help me to keep the poison from killing my mother-in-law. She’s changed into such a nice woman, and I love her like my own mother. I do not want her to die because of the poison I gave her.”
Mr. Huang smiled and nodded his head. “Li-Li, there’s nothing to worry about. I never gave you any poison. The herbs I gave you were vitamins to improve her health. The only poison was in your mind and your attitude toward her, but that has been all washed away by the love which you gave to her.”
HAVE YOU REALIZED that how you treat others is exactly how they will treat you? There is a wise Chinese saying: “The person who loves others will also be loved in return.” God might be trying to work in another person’s life through you. Send this to your friends and spread the POWER OF LOVE.

Thanks,

The Post Office--Letter To God

There was a man who  worked for the Post Office whose job was to process all the mail that had  illegible addresses.  One day, a letter came addressed in a shaky  handwriting to God with no actual address. He thought he should open it  to see what it was about.
The letter read:
Dear God,
I am  an 83 year old widow, living on a very small pension.  Yesterday someone  stole my purse. It had $100 in it, which was all the money I had until my next  pension payment.
Next Sunday is Christmas, and I had invited two of my  friends over for dinner. Without that money, I have nothing to buy food  with, have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope. Can you please help  me?

Sincerely, Edna
The postal worker was touched. He  showed the letter to all the other workers. Each one dug into his or her  wallet and came up with a few dollars.   By the time he made the  rounds, he had collected $96, which they put into an envelope and sent to the  woman.
The rest of the day, all the workers felt a warm  glow thinking of Edna and the dinner she would be able to share with her  friends.
Christmas came and went..
A few days later,  another letter came from the same old lady to God.   All the  workers gathered around while the letter was opened.
It  read:

Dear God,

How can I ever thank you enough for  what you did for me?  Because of your gift of love, I was  able to fix a glorious dinner for my friends. We had a very nice day and  I told my friends of your wonderful gift.

By the way, there was  $4 missing.
I think it might have been those bastards at  the post office.

Thanks and have Fun,

Maintain And Build Your References

Have you been through a series of interviews and failed to get the job even though everything was perfect? There are many steps that contribute towards getting selected for the right job, from polishing your resume to dressing perfectly for the interview. One of the most important things that the job seekers forget to work upon is gathering references for future job applications. All employers ask for references at some point during the hiring process, so you should be prepared to provide references that will work in your benefit. Most people think that references don’t matter much and the employers do not indulge in a background check. This concept is not at all accurate and while it is true that some of the employers do not take the references seriously, most of them do. When a big organization is about to hire you and make a significant amount of investment on you, they will definitely call some of your references to make sure that they are making the right choice.
Why Are References Important?
References are very important in strengthening your resume as they show that the people you worked with previously appreciate you and were satisfied with your work. Getting people as your references is not as easy as it sounds because while your previous colleagues might have been cordial to you, there is no guarantee that they will vouch for your performance when contacted by your prospective employer. This is the precise reason why references carry so much weight in your selection process. Since employers do not tend to vouch for each and every employer, the fact that they are doing so for you adds to your credibility as a valuable employee.
Important Things To Keep In Mind When Providing References
Providing reference is an important part of job hunting and can affect the outcome of an interview tremendously. However, giving references is not as simple as just making a list and providing it to the prospective employers. There are a lot of things that you should keep in mind when creating a list of references so that you do not have to face rejections from job interviews. Here are some of the steps that are essential to creating a solid and beneficial reference list:
Filter the references:
When listing a person as a reference, make sure that the person is actually willing to be your reference and has something good to say about you. For instance, if you did not part with your last employer on good terms, quoting him as a reference might be a big mistake doing more harm than good. Moreover make sure that the person you are listing as your reference is someone who worked closely with you and is personally aware of your achievements and contributions to the company during the time you were there. Someone who is only aware of your work superficially cannot give you the recommendation that you deserve.
Create a separate sheet:
Whether you wish to provide references when submitting your resume or you want to hand them over when you appear for the interview, make sure that you do not include them in the resume but write them on a separate sheet. The font and the formatting of the references sheet should be similar to that of the resume. You can either attach this sheet to the resume or hand it over when the employers specifically ask you for reference, whatever appears better to you.
Give diverse references:
Instead of listing people as references who belong to the same company, try to give references from many different organizations so that you can get a recommendation based on your achievements in different fields and at various positions. For instance, apart from naming your previous employer as the reference, you can also give references from your co-workers and teachers, who will evaluate you as a colleague and a student, respectively.
Get permission:
If you are listing someone as your reference, make sure that you ask for his or her permission before doing so. Ask your boss if you can name his as a reference for your job applications in future. If he gives an enthusiastic reply then go for it, however if you sense some reluctance on his part then it is better for you not to name him as a reference. If your boss is unwilling to be named as a reference, there is a good chance that he might not give you a good recommendation if contacted.
Recheck the reference list
Make sure that you have spelled all the names of the people and the organization correctly and that the contact numbers you have provided are up-to-date. Keep tabs on your references so that you know when they change jobs and have their latest contact information. Moreover, there are some jobs where the employers ask for references at the beginning when you are submitting your resume. For such scenarios, it is best that you have your reference sheet well prepared, updated and ready to be submitted at any time.
Letters of recommendation
In the past, letter of recommendation written by some of your previous employers might help you in landing the job successfully, but now the trend has changed. Nowadays, the employers want to get directly in touch with the references provided either by telephone or via email. This provides them with the opportunity to ask detailed questions regarding your professionalism and helps them evaluate you better.  While there is nothing wrong with providing letters of recommendation, it is better that you provide contact numbers with them so that the employers can get in touch with them if they want to.
Avoid personal references
While friends and family will always have something nice to say about you, it is best to avoid putting them as references since they do not carry much weight with the employers. However if you still want to add some personal reference, make sure that you provide at least 3 professional references as well. There is a high probability that the prospective employer will get in touch with the professional references only, since it is pretty obvious that the personal reference will praise you whether you deserve it or not.
Conclusion
Strong and solid references can boost your chances of getting the desired job immensely. In order to get maximum benefit from the references, you have to keep you reference up to date and make sure that you are following all of the suggestions given in this article. While having strong references does not necessarily mean that you will be able to get the job, it surely gives you an edge during the hiring process.

Signs of the Day of Judgment: NASA confirms possibility of sun rising from the West

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu (O! You Who Believe Enter Into Islaam Wholeheartedly- Al Quran)(إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
(You ALONE  we worship and To you ALONE  we seek help)

ARTICLE (April 09 2010): The science of astronomy states that the speed of planet Mars has been decreasing in its course toward the eastern direction in the past few weeks to the level we notice the "waver" between the east and the west and on Wednesday the 30th of July the planet movement stopped going toward the eastern direction.

Then in the months of August and September...Mars changed its course in the opposite direction to the West- and that until the end of September which means the sun will rise now from the west on Mars!! And this weird phenomena of the opposite movement is called "Retrograde Motion" Most scientist state that all the planets will go through the same once at least and our planet Earth is one of them. Planet Earth will move in the opposite direction some day and the sun will rise from the west!!

This might occur soon and we are unaware! The rise of the sun from the west is mentioned in the hadith and this is the major sign of the day of judgement, most if not all, the minor signs have occurred. Wake up. Our beloved messenger Mohamed (Peace Be Upon Him) said: "One of the signs of the hour the sun will rise from the west, where no longer tauba (forgiveness) will be granted"

!!And the strange thing most of our Shariah scholars mentioned that the rise of the sun from the west occurs only once on that day the sun will rise from the west then again from the east and continues until Allah wishes and this is similar to what is happening to Mars it stops, then it changes its course of direction for a short period of time then returns to way once it was.

And Abdullah Bin Amro (R.A.) said: (I memorised from the messenger (SAW) a hadith I will never forget I heard the messenger of Allah (SAW) say: The first aya to come the rise of the sun from the west) [Ahmad]. And the messenger SAW "Allah places HIS hand at night to forgive his morning sinners, and places in the morning to forgive his night sinners until the sun rises from the west" [Muslim].

This piece of news is very important as it brings with it a great sign of warning and remembrance of the coming of a new WORLD - the world of he Hereafter When we show this hadith that was told 1400 years ago about this miracle..you will see InshaALLAH, a lot will revert to right path...And the Muslims if they see this phenomena happening in Mars who knows maybe it would bring them closer to our CREATOR. May Allah keep all of us in the right path and provide us with success in this world as well as in the hereafter.

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah`s Peace,
Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:
asslam laykam plz will u send me some infomation of how to deal with a
husband and to keep your husband happy all the time?
also plz will u forward me some muslim councilour contacts plz for
marriage?
thank u
allah hafiz

(There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above
statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments
and statements received from our readers for circulation in
confidentiality.)

Answer:

How to keep husband happy?
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His
forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He
allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness
that there is no one (no idol, no person,  no grave, no prophet,  no
imam,  no dai,  nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we
bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of
His Messengers.
Your Question: plz will u send me some infomation of how to deal with
a husband and to keep your husband happy all the time?
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 30 Surah Rum verse 21: And among
His Signs is this that He created for you mates from among yourselves
that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and
mercy between your (hearts); Verily, in that are Signs for those who
reflect.
Dear and Beloved Sister in Islam, what I am about to say from the
Quran and the Sunnah regarding the key to a successful relationship
between the husband and a wife in marriage might seem ‘politically
incorrect’ in this educated-modern but ignorant and ungodly world; but
Allah is our witness, there is no better path to a successful
marriage!

While Islam has laid several responsibilities and duties upon the
believing men as a test in the life of this world (financial,
physical, governance, jihad, etc) for an entry into Paradise; Allah
Subhanah has balanced the test of duties and responsibilities of the
believing women for their entry into Paradise with one supreme
responsibility that is equivalent to all the duties of the man!  If
the believing woman is successful in this one test, she has been
promised Paradise!  And that test of the believing woman is: earning
the satisfaction of her husband!

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verse 34: Men are
the protectors and maintainers of women because Allah has given the
one more than the other, and because they support them from their
means.  Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard
in (the husband`s) absence what Allah would have them guard (their
property, their chastity, their honor, etc.)
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 3254        Narrated by Anas ibn Malik
Allah`s Messenger (saws) said, "When a woman observes the five times
of prayer, fasts during Ramadan, preserves her chastity and obeys her
husband, she may enter by any of the Gates of Paradise she wishes."

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 286         Narrated by Umm Salamah
The Prophet (saws) said: ‘If a woman dies while her husband was
pleased with her, she will enter Paradise.’

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 3272        Narrated by Abu Hurayrah
When Allah`s Messenger (saws) was asked which woman was best, he
(saws) replied, "The one who pleases (her husband) when he looks at
her, obeys him when he gives a command, and does not go against his
wishes regarding her person or property by doing anything of which he
disapproves."

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 284         Narrated by Abu Ali Talq ibn Ali
The Prophet (saws) said: ‘When a man sends for his wife for the
satisfaction of his need, she should go to him even if she may be
occupied in baking bread (cooking food).’

In light of the guidance of the Quran and the Sunnah, any wife who
sincerely wishes to have peace, tranquility, harmony, love and mercy
between herself and her husband must be devoutly obedient to her
husband!  In these modern-educated but ignorant and ungodly times,
where the wife and the husband are pronounced as absolute equals and
thus made to compete against rather than complement each other; where
each is guided by their ‘supposed’ friends and loved ones to dominate
the other; where the woman is told time and again to ‘come out’ and
‘deliver herself’ from being obedient to her husband; where obedience
to one’s husband is labeled by the ignorant as being a ‘door-mat’; the
guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws) regarding what makes a
successful marriage might indeed seem ‘strange’ in this modern but
ignorant society!  But the honest truth is, successful marriages are
also a ‘strange’ commodity in these trying times!

Sahih Muslim Hadith 270      Narrated by Abu Hurayrah
The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: ‘Islam initiated as something
strange, and it would revert to its (old position) of being strange;
so Good Tidings for the ‘Strangers’!’

This modern-educated-but-ignorant society has played right into the
hands and ploys of the Shaytaan, who likes nothing better than
dissension between the husband and the wife!

Sahih Muslim Hadith 6754     Narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah
I heard Allah`s Messenger (saws) as saying: ‘The throne of Iblis is
upon the ocean and he sends detachments (to different parts) in order
to put people to trial; and the most important figure in his eyes is
one who is most notorious in sowing the seed of dissension (between a
husband and wife).’

Thus, if the believers wish to live their married lives with their
spouse in peace and harmony and tranquility and love and mercy; the
believing man will have to fulfill his responsibilities and duties and
give all his rights in full to his family, and the believing woman
will have to live her life in absolute obedience to her husband.  If
either of the two fall short in any of their responsibilities, love
and mercy will give way to oppression and dissension!

It is the duty and responsibility of the believing women to figure out
what exactly pleases her husband and strive to do those deeds; and
ascertain what displeases her husband and absolutely abstain from
doing those deeds!  Such is the level of obedience demanded from the
believing wife in a righteous marriage, that the Messenger of Allah
(saws) said these words in an authentic hadith:

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 285         Narrated by Abu Hurayrah
The Prophet (saws) said: ‘Had it been permissible that a person may
prostrate himself before another, I would have ordered that a wife
should prostrate herself before her husband!’

Your Question: also plz will u forward me some muslim councilour
contacts plz for marriage?
Beloved Sister in Islam, if you could kindly give us the location of
your city and state, we shall try to the best of our ability to get
you in contact with some righteous muslim scholars or counselors who
might be able to guide you in light of the Quran and the Sunnah, Insha
Allah.

If one trusts,  obeys,  and follows the guidance and commands of Allah
and His Messenger (saws),   he can be assured of never ever being
misled;   but if one believes,  obeys and follows any other guidance,
other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws),  he can be assured
of being led astray.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s
Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me.  Allah Alone
Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Are You Destroying Your Career?

We often do things in our professional life that seem harmless at the time but have huge consequences in the long run. Some of these mistakes are so huge that we end up damaging our career permanently, with no way of putting things back on the right track. With the ongoing recession, the fear of becoming a victim of downsizing is becoming greater and greater. No one feels completely safe with the sword of downsizing hanging over their heads and the competition has grown fierce. Under these circumstances, you can hardly afford to make a mistake at the workplace that could cost you your career. While it is true that we all make mistakes, the point is to minimize the number of mistakes in your professional life so that it does not affect your career permanently. Here are few of the common mistakes that might end up damaging your career permanently. If you are making any of the mistakes mentioned below, rectify them immediately to save your job and your professional career.
Poor interpersonal skills
Your relationship with your coworkers, bosses and clients is of paramount importance in shaping out your career. No one wants to work with a difficult employee and people start avoiding coworkers who have an unpleasant attitude. Being difficult at work is the worst mistakes you can make. If you are unpleasant at work people will talk about your attitude and the bosses will also notice your attitude. Under the circumstances, if any of you colleagues or clients files a complaint regarding your behavior, you will be at high risk of being let go sooner than later.
Ineffective time management
Time management is the key to success in any work environment and if you are good at it you are bound to be a precious employee. However, being bad at time management could cost you your career. Not being able to meet the deadlines due to ineffective time management can be disastrous. If your boss asks for an update on your work or he asks you to bring in the project you are working on and it is incomplete, it leaves a bad mark on your credibility and ability to finish the appointed work in the given time.
Unable to handle the pressure
The employers value those workers above all who are able to work well under pressure. As an asset to the company, you must be able to complete your work within time, meet all deadlines and stay calm while doing all this. If you panic while doing a project or start delegating too much work on others so that you don’t have to take much burden, you boss will notice sooner or later.
Considering yourself irreplaceable
When you start considering yourself indispensable, you are bound to make mistakes that will get you into trouble. While it is true that a hardworking and dedicated employee is valuable for the company, it does not mean that he is free from all vices. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone has flaws and weaknesses. When you become overconfident and start thinking that your company cannot function well without you, that’s when your downfall starts.
Lack of team spirit
Team spirit is one of the most important assets in an employee. In today’s corporate environment there is no room for going solo. You have to work in a team for the benefit of the company. An employee who lacks team spirit and retards the growth of other team members is seen as a liability to the company.
Making excuses
When the boss come to you with an assignment at the end of the day and you make excuses just to get out of it, you are making yourself highly susceptible o being laid off.  Rest assured that your superiors are not fools and are able to distinguish between a real problem and a lame excuse. So keep your excuses to a minimum and do not try to use them as a tool to get out of assignments.
Blaming others
The worst thing you can do is to blame your failure on others and failing to take responsibility. If you make a mistake you should be able to accept that it was your fault and assure the bosses that something like this will never happen again. Picking up a fight with the coworkers or worse, the clients, can end up getting you into a lot of trouble.
Failing to deliver
When you fail to deliver the tasks that have been appointed to you, you are immediately tagged as incompetent. No one wants to keep an incompetent employee on the staff. You need to streamline your work so that you are able to meet all the deadlines and perform exceptionally well. Being unorganized hinders your delivering capabilities and puts you in danger of being let go.
Possessing obsolete skills
Not updating your skill sets is the most common mistakes that the employees are making nowadays. Everyday new technology and software is being introduced and every new batch of fresh employees is more adept to them than the ones before them. Under these circumstances if you are not updating your education and skills at regular intervals, you are leaving the spot open for those who are more in sync with the latest skills. You have to keep in mind that even after you finish college, you have to keep educating yourself, or else you will be left far behind others.
Not keeping track of accomplishments
The worst and the most serious of mistakes that you can make is not keeping track of your accomplishments, especially in today’s job environment. No matter how good your performance is and whatever you have achieved, it is going to be worth nothing if you cannot even remember what you have achieved.  When a company decides to lay off some of the employees, they interview the employees and ask them what their achievements have been. If you are unable to provide a solid list of achievements, you might as well be typing your own letter of dismissal.
Disrupting office discipline
While you may consider it trivial, office discipline is not something that can be taken lightly. Arriving late and leaving early on habitual basis is one of the million things that disrupt office behavior. Leaving your seat to chat with your colleagues several times a day makes you appear non-serious about your work and disturbs other people who are trying to concentrate. You need to show the managers that you are serious about your job and are productive for the company.
There is no guarantee that you will be able to avoid getting fired by following these suggestions, but there is a good chance that you might. In the long run, following these golden rules will ensure that you are promoting and building your career rather than ruining your professional life by being careless.
